These days, more and more people are concerned about their carbon footprint. Whether it’s reducing the usage of their car or being more efficient with their electricity usage, there are plenty of small things people can do to contribute to preserving the environment.

Businesses are also taking the initiative. Some companies are contributing by reducing their paper waste, and others are vowing to cut any contracts with suppliers that do not use eco-friendly methods in their workflow.

As a positive side effect to this, many consumers will only do business with companies that they know are supporting eco-friendly practices. If your company doesn’t show that it’s eco-friendly, then there’s a chance that another company will be chosen over yours if you offer the same products and services. Fundraising events

Businesses can create a lot of attention by hosting fundraising events that raise awareness about problems on our planet. For example, you could participate in events to plant more trees or teach local schools the importance of recycling electronics so that they can be reused in other appliances and devices.

Show that you recycle your waste

Recycle everything you can. Electronic recycling has become a huge deal and showing that you’re responsible for your electronic waste can help draw more customers into your business. Your paper waste should also be dealt with responsibly and you should let your customers know that you plan to cut the amount of waste your business produces.

Be transparent about what you do

Make sure you let your customers know about any eco-friendly processes that you take part in. Recycling is one such activity that you should be marketing, but you should also mention things like where you source your raw materials and how you plan to give back to the environment. This is important if you produce things that are made from natural materials, such as paper or wooden furniture. Let your customers know (and be truthful!) that you plant trees as a way to renew the resources you use, or let them know that you’re responsible with how you create your products and aim to utilize as much of the resource as possible to reduce waste.

Be green with your packaging

One of the best ways to show that you’re concerned about the environment is to switch to eco-friendly packaging methods. This means getting rid of anything that cannot biodegrade and also showing visible recycling stickers on your packaging to ensure that your customers know they can recycle it. Your company can also make use of this eco-friendly packaging by leveraging it in your promotional campaign to go green and attract more environmentally conscious consumers.

These are just a few examples of how you can market an eco-friendly business to the masses. If you’re able to capture the attention of your audience and show that you care about the environment, then you’ll get considerably more attention.
